After spending the night at Hotel Faran, it’s 2nd of May 2008, we ordered breakfast, the paratha from last night was so damn good that we ordered two more. This time it was the regular paratha but the overall breakfast was good. I got out taking a look of the morning and saw the driver wave at me. I greeted him back. We started to get ready for our trip once again, I was hoping this time it would be good, as we have been used-to with all the new things around.
A point worth mentioning ;-p is that when I was in the balcony in the morning I saw an unusual trail of 14 seater vans passing by, then a few minutes later the show began. Around 50+ good lookin’ girls passed by, all dressed up and happy and as usual walking in the middle of the road blocking the traffic. Just like at some times the cows block the roads in Karachi, the only difference was that they were no ‘cows’ :)
Moving on! The first point we decided was PC – Bhurband then we decided to stop at Neelam Point, Lower Topa and finally Kashmir Point.
We reached the Hotel Pearl Continental at Bhurband, after taking a 300 Rupee ticked per person, we got in to see around. We had heard that the place is very beautifully done. I took my phone out and was flattered to see that I was in a hot-spot and that I could connect via Wi-Fi. I took the opportunity and selected “start web browsing” option in my phone, the first page that I visited was the PC hotel welcome page. Scrolling to a bit right on the page, I found the tariff :( I was sad and decided not to choose to browse as the rates were quite high. I don’t exactly remember the rates, so won’ mention any figures).
As we moved out it was great, a combination of manmade and natural beauty was superb. I can’t explain much see, it for yourself.
After visiting all the places possible we moved in to have something to eat, we ordered a couple of things, and that’s where all the pleasure boiled down to nothing. I ordered beef sandwich and my cousin ordered Chicken Zinger Burger. Once we got our plates in front of us, we were devastated to see the black leaves of salad. They were so old and so un-presentable that they just should have removed it from the plates! The sandwich got all dry in just a few minutes and the customer service was nil. A woman just took our order and then all of them just vanished.
Well, if I exclude the food part, it was all very good indeed. In future I am staying in this hotel for sure because my new Hammer is parked in the garage, my wife and kids are enjoying themselves along the poolside and I have asked my secretary to transfer all calls to any of the other board of directors but me :)
